| The boat on the left (#1 L 148) was owned by Carleton Barron Gilley (1921-2001) and was built by Paul Patton in Ellsworth. The boat in the middle (#1 M 551) is the 1st boat Ralph Warren Stanley (1929-2021) built for himself in 1951. At the time this photograph was taken in 1960 Charles “Charlie” Montriville Gilley (1924-2006), leaning against it, was the owner. The boat on the right (#1 L 256), built by Robert “Bobby” Farnsworth Rich at his Bass Harbor Boat Shop was owned by Harold Edward Alley (1924-2004) , shown in the photograph working on the boat.
