| This memorial to Waldron Bates is located on the south side of Gorham Mountain in Acadia National Park at the intersection of the Gorham Mountain Trail and the Cadillac Cliffs Path. This bronze plaque, attached to a granite wall, was designed by New York sculptor and Bar Harbor summer resident William Ordway Partridge.
