| Automobiles along the road at front - Left to Right: The automobile with the hood open is a 1954 Ford Hardtop. 1948 Chrysler 1950-1951 Studebaker Behind tree - 1953 Ford station wagon. W.H. Ballard wrote this note on the negative sleeve for the photograph: "“Bluenose” Ferry Terminal, Bar Harbor, ME; taken the day the Bar Harbor-Yarmouth ferry was officially welcomed (service had been on since the early part of January). Blowing a hard SE gale, and I had to press down so hard on the camera that the tripod sagged.
