| "The Appalachian Mountain Camp at Echo Lake was established in 1922..." - Traditions and Records of Southwest Harbor and Somesville, Mount Desert Island, Maine by Mrs. Seth S. Thornton, p. 126 - 1938. Ralph Stanley says that the Appalachian Mountain Club tents were stored in the sheds behind his house at 102-104 Clark Point Road in the 1930s.
