Inset at lower right shows "A Particular Plan of Lake George. Surveyed in 1756 by Capt. Jackson."

Attest F.B. Morgan Reg.r" Although popularly known as the "Salem Towne Map," this original map, owned by the Southwest Harbor Public Library, was drawn and clearly signed by "Salem Town Junr" in 1808.
