Ralph Douglas Reed (1915-1997) was born on July 8, 1915 to Raymond Wilson Reed and Violet M. (Moore) Reed in Southwest Harbor, Maine. Ralph married his second cousin, Edna M. Reed (1915-1937), daughter of Forest Alton Reed and Mildred E. (Pierce) Reed, on September 23, 1936. Edna died three days after giving birth to their daughter, Margaret Ann Reed, on February 20, 1937. Ralph then married Eva Maies Thurston (1919-2006), daughter of Fred V. Thurston and Elfreida (Brown) Thurston, on November 13, 1938. Ralph Douglas Reed died on January 24, 1997 in Manset, Maine.
